In this KS2 maths percentages resource, students can practice finding the percent of a number using knowledge of benchmark percents or equivalent fractions. This resource is provided in both Google Slides format and in worksheet format.

The aim of this resource is to help students understand how percentages can be calculated using structured mental math techniques and build confidence and fluency in this topic. Questions are scaffolded, slowly increasing in difficulty.

Two example slides are provided for students to demonstrate methods and can also be printed as used to display in the classroom.

Each question is in table format and students are required to either:

  1. Find the values for each percent provided in the table

  2. Find the percentages given the part and whole

  3. A combination of both

Knowledge of decimals is required to complete this activity.
