What鈥檚 included?
This download includes x4 A4, landscape pdf sheets to practise 鈥榗ounting objects and ordering numbers to 10鈥�.

This activity has been designed to use with miniature 鈥楨aster chicks鈥� as pictured in the photos. These sheets are intended to be printed onto card to improve durability (and usability!)

How to use this resource
This has been designed to be a 鈥榯able top鈥� activity for learners to explore independently.

There are two pages featuring green boxes with different amounts of eggs (between 0 and 10). Learners are to count out the corresponding number of Easter chicks onto each of these cards.

There is a sheet featuring 鈥榥umbered eggs鈥� these are intending to be cut out and used to 鈥榣abel鈥� the groups of chicks once they have been counted out. I have included an 鈥榚gg holder鈥� (with grass pictured on each base) which are intended to 鈥榟old鈥� each numbered egg.

This was designed for an adult to pre-cut all items so that this resource can be presented to learners as a crisp, fresh new activity to investigate and explore.

Who鈥檚 it for?
This resource has been designed for early years children, pupils in years one and two as well as older students needing additional learning support.

Resource Details
Page 1 includes x11 numbered eggs (0-10) with dotted lines around the outside of each to guide cutting. There are two boxes at the top which can both be cut out and displayed with the activity to guide learners and support adults with what the activity is for and question the learners to keep them on task.

Pages 2 and 3 includes x11 rectangular boxes (with green outlines), each displaying a different number of eggs between 0 and 10. The idea is that that are cut out and placed on a table top along with a shallow bowl of 鈥楨aster chicks鈥� for learners to use to count out the matching number of chicks onto each egg. Once all 鈥榚gg cards鈥� have been completed learners can 鈥榣abel鈥� these groups with the numbered eggs鈥� (page 1)

Page 4 includes x10 鈥榞rass numbered egg holders鈥� for learners (or adults) to display the 鈥榥umbered eggs鈥� in (rather than having all items laid flat on the table top, using these holders would enable the numbered eggs to 鈥榮tand up鈥�. Simple instructions for how to assemble these holders are included at the top of page 4.
