These two sets of resources supports the Year 4 target for pupils to learn to multiply 2-digit and 3-digit numbers by a 1-digit number using formal written (column) methods of multiplication.

Pupils are expected to reliably set out and solve multiplications in the correct column format, carrying digits as needed, and to justify each calculation step.
