This pack includes 2 fun doodle sheets and three worksheets designed for KS1 children. The monster theme forms a good starting point for creative writing and story making.
The Monster Mashup Doodle Sheet and Monster Playtime Doodle Sheet encourage creativity as children colour in different monsters and discuss their features, emotions, and actions.
The worksheets focus on key learning objectives:
- Emotion Recognition – Children observe four different monsters and decide which is sleepy, happy, sad, and silly, then tick the corresponding boxes. (Objective: Develop emotional literacy and observation skills.)
- Counting and Colouring – Children count the monsters in each box (1 to 4) and colour them in. (Objective: Reinforce early counting skills and number recognition.)
- Speech and Naming Activity – Children write in the monsters’ speech bubbles, imagining what they might say or naming them. (Objective: Encourage early writing, imaginative thinking, and language development.)
These activities provide a fun and interactive way to support emotional awareness, early numeracy, and literacy skills, while fostering creativity and discussion in the classroom.
