I achieved an A* in A Level French. In this resource are several different essays on the film La Haine, they will be really helpful as examples of high standard answers for the essay section on the exam, and as helpful revision.
Some essays may be of varying standards/marks, as some were written at the start of Y12, compared to the end of Y13! However, I think it can be useful to have different standard examples for a class, and depending on your desired grade.

- analyse the similarities and differences between the major characters
- analyse the techniques MK uses to present life in paris vs in the banlieue
- to what extent is the quote ‘jusqu’ici tout va bien’ justified when thinking about la haine
- explain how the trio are presented
- la haine is a film neither relevant or interesting nowadays, to what extent do you agree?
- the film is anti authority not anti-police, analyse
