This resource contains 215 closeup images of people for use in MFL lessons. This could be useful for teaching how to describe appearance/nationality/ethnicity and describing people for the new Speaking exam, but also to add a little personality to reading texts in lessons.
Many of the images are of 11-18 year old people to keep them relevant for KS3-5 students, but adults feature too. There are 100 male images, 100 female and also 15 non-binary people, and feature a variety of ethnicities, in keeping with the more inclusive nature of the new GCSE specification.
The images have been generated by AI. This is intended to help you spend more time on planning your lessons, rather than searching for images without celebrities or watermarks, or worrying about using copyrighted images.
This does mean that there will always be some things that aren’t perfect… while I have removed images with extra limbs and so on, every now and then I do include an image with a slight oddity (an arm which is a bit too long, for example). My students usually find that funny, and I hope yours will too!
All images are 640x640 resolution and in JPEG format. Please feel free to use these images in any resources you share or sell too. A credit would be much appreciated but not necessary :-)
