This resource is a sixteen page PDF document with activities to do based on the book Heads and Tails - Insects by John Canty There are 13 activities to do with the book.

There is a comprehension worksheet and the other 12 worksheets are individual insect worksheets based on the facts given in the book. There is one sheet for each insect featured in the story (bee, ladybug, grasshopper, mosquito, praying mantis, caterpillar, butterfly, dragonfly, fly, beetle, stick insect and ant). There are also two double-up sheets to cater for our US customers as there are spelling differences.

This book is an excellent resource to use when teaching a unit about insects, however these worksheets could still be very helpful for an insect unit even if you do not have this particular book.
