I have complied a booklet of 10 tasks / short texts written in the 19th century style. The idea is for students to become more familiar with these style texts as paper 1 of the Pearson exam will use this type of text. Each text comes with a task which ranges from simple identifying to evaluation. The booklet also comes with a “Vocab diary” at the end to allow students to record and learn any new vocabulary they have encountered during the booklet. Please feel free to use / adapt according to your needs. Please keep in mind the TES preview gives a limited and at times distorted view of the resource and this is not always a true reflection.
