This is a resource I have worked on myself to deliver the first 5 units of the GCSE Astronomy Curriculum. It will reference the GCSE Astronomy text book by Nigel Marshall (Fantastic Resource), but all tasks are my own and are designed to break down the content into simpler chunks.
Each lesson features a section for an entry task for the teacher to slot in, as well as plenaries for the lessons. The book is designed to take approximately 15 weeks to complete, covering Units 1-5 of the GCSE Astronomy Specification. It also includes one student led project on drawing the moon phases along with appropriate scaffolding and assessment.
Essentially, It should be able to stand on it’s own as a mid-term plan for a teacher of the subject.
