Craftivity - Family and Rooms in the house
Family and Rooms in the House resource, specially designed for ESL learners and English as a Second Language (ESL) educators.
In this fun-filled activity, kids will unleash their artistic talents as they color and decorate various rooms in the house. They’ll have a blast bringing eight rooms to life, including the living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, baby’s room, garage, and study room.
Next, they’ll have the opportunity to color in and cut out adorable family members, such as mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, sister, brother, baby, and dog.
These can be laminated or printed on sturdy cardstock for durability. Once ready, children can place the family members in different rooms, creating engaging scenarios.
This resource not only sparks creativity but also facilitates language practice. Students can explore key grammar points and vocabulary through interactive questions like:
- “Where is grandma?” Answer: “Grandma is in the kitchen.”
- “What’s in the kitchen?” Answer: “There is a sink in the kitchen.”
- “How many family members are there in the living room?” Answer: “There are three: mom, dad, and baby.”
Ideal for ESL learners, ELE (Español como Lengua Extranjera), or any language learning subject, this resource is recommended for 1st Grade or 2nd Grade students. It provides an enjoyable way to reinforce language skills while fostering creativity and comprehension.
