This resource is designed for EYFS children to develop their fine motor skills, pattern recognition, and matching abilities through Easter-themed activities.
Each of the 5 pages features three pairs of Easter egg characters with different patterns.
Children can:

  1. Find the matching pairs – Observe the details in each egg’s design.
  2. Trace the patterns and lines – Follow the lines to practice pencil control.
  3. Colour in the eggs – Use different colours to decorate each pair.
  4. Cut out the eggs – Cut along the square outlines.
  5. Match and stick the pairs – Encourage discussion on similarities and differences.
This activity supports early learning goals in mark-making, visual discrimination, and fine motor development while celebrating Easter in a creative way!
Extend the activity by asking children to design their own Easter egg characters.
