Confident Me helps young people to:
- Understand the concept of ‘appearance ideals’ and where pressure to match them comes from
- Build media literacy, exploring how images and messages in media are often manipulations of the truth
- Develop strategies to resist appearance pressures, avoid unfavourable comparisons and build body confidence
Students who participate in Confident Me have been proven to have: - Improved body image
- Higher self-esteem
- Feel more confident to participate in social activities
- Feel more confident to participate in academic activities
