This complete lesson focuses on the behaviourist approach in the Y12 approaches topic using the AQA A Level psychology specification. As this is one of the first lessons taught to Y12’s this lesson provides detailed information on areas such as effective evaluation, PEEL structure and model paragraphs.

This lesson includes:

  • A detailed 23 slide PowerPoint presentation on the behaviourist approach complete with teacher notes, fun and engaging tasks and a range of optional video clips.
  • A student assumptions worksheet activity with a separate teacher answers copy.
  • A 3 page behaviourist approach student information worksheet with detailed information on the approach and tasks to complete throughout the lesson.
  • A scenario worksheet on operant conditioning and real life examples with a separate teacher answers copy.
  • An evaluation worksheet demonstrating how to evaluate effectively using the PEEL (we use PEEC) structure.
  • 5 x model PEEL/C evaluation paragraphs for the behaviourist approach.

All of my PPT presentations also contain teacher notes and advise in the comments section. These may include tips I’ve found useful over the years or additional fun and engaging tasks you could give the students to complete.

This resource will take approximately 2-3 lessons to complete. However, if you have less time you can always leave tasks out.
