This is a fully resourced lesson for Comparing Mass with NS (non-standard units) - Step 3 of the Year 1 White Rose Maths Spring Block 5 - Mass and Volume.
It uses active learning to develop and support the children’s understanding of measuring mass with non-standard units like cubes, bricks, etc and comparing them using language of comparison (more, less, greater than, less than, equal to, same as, most, least).

The slides are on Microsoft PowerPoint and you can use the drawing tool whilst presenting to draw the pictorial aspects of the maths concept.
