Refreshed and updated PowerPoint resources aimed at assisting teachers with the delivery of the Cambridge International A-level Business specification. These slides are designed to support the delivery of 5.1 Business Finance. The presentation starts with an examination of why businesses need finance to start-up, grow and survive.  It then considers the distinctions between cash and profit before examining the need for finance in both the short-term and long-term.  Next it looks at the concepts of bankruptcy, liquidation and administration, before it moves on to examine the concept of working capital and the management of trade receivables and trade payables and the differences between capital and revenue expenditure. The slides contain the Quick Fire Five questions, and also a practice essay (with solutions).
