Are you looking for some Black History Month activities to complete with your Kindergarten or Grade 1 students? These Black History Month Paper Bag Puppets are a perfect activity to complete to enhance your lesson. Puppets are fun and engaging and students love them.

• 3 outstanding women: Ruby Bridges, Rosa Parks, Sojourner Truth
• 3 outstanding men: George Washington Carver, Jackie Robinson, Thurgood Marshall
  There is a simple writing activity for the back of each of the puppets

What is needed to make these puppets:

• paper, scissors, glue, coloring pencils
• brown paper bags (I bought mine in Michigan USA at a dollar store. They come 40 in a bag for $1.)
  Size listed on bag: 5 1/8 x 3 1/8 x 10 5/8 inches or
  13 x 7.9 x 27 cm

If your bag is a different size then just adjust your photocopying.
