This resource includes 16 lessons (254 slides) covering in-depth the video game Horizon Forbidden West (new for exams in 2024). It covers all areas of the frameworks including: narrative, genre, representation, audiences, contexts and industry. Each framework has at least one dedicated lesson and there are 10 hwk tasks included which are designed to heighten students’ knowledge of interesting texts related to video games or to help students interleave their paper 1 and paper 2 skills. All theories that are in the AQA CSP booklet are included plus a focus on post modernism too.
Each lesson is fully resourced with a range of activities supplied including starter and plenary tasks.

I’m sorry that you feel that way. However, there are sixteen fully resourced lessons, which have been fully researched and cover all of the areas of the frameworks students are required to study. Alongside the lessons being fully resourced, they are accompanied with a homework booklet with ten tasks designed to consolidate learning. In addition, many starter activities are designed to interleave different skills from across the course. So, as I say, I’m sorry you feel this way, however there has been an awful lot of consideration which has been put into the scheme and it has been designed as a major time saver for teachers who can run with the resources, as a lot of the difficulties with planning the media course is finding the time to do the research behind the products. I’d be interested to know what else you’d have like me to include!
