AQA English Language Paper 1 Q5/creative writing/Section B/narrative writing lesson that explores paragraphs and paragraphing for effect.
Many students can lose marks by not considering how they structure and organise their narratives effectively, so this lesson allows students to explore the use of paragraphs in a model answer, how the writer has linked together different plot events and descriptions to create a coherent structure, and also provides students with opportunities to include one sentence paragraphs for effect.
Students then revisit their story plans from previous lessons and consider how they have planned out the different sections of their narrative, and how they can use paragraphs to create a coherent structure.
In the next lesson, students will be using their drafts and their learning from the previous lessons to write out final narratives for assessment.
