AQA A level Biology Topic 4. Investigating genetic diversity (3.4.7) and immunological comparisons (3.4.5)
This resource has been made for AQA A level biology but is suitable for all exam boards.
The presentation covers the following learning objectives and includes the subject knowledge as well as exam questions to test knowledge. Questions included as a Word doc.
• Explain the use of the following techniques in comparing genetic diversity within, and between species:
• Observable characteristics
• Base sequence of DNA
• Base sequence of mRNA
• Amino acid sequence of proteins
• Explain how immunological comparisons are used to investigate variations in proteins (3.4.5)
Handout includes exam questions for independent work. All answers are included on the presentation.
