This resource is aimed at Reception and KS1 children (ages 4 - 7). It contains 6 downloadable sheets, 5 have different animals drawn onto a grid; a fish, a bear, a lion, a chicken and a crocodile. The last sheet is blank to allow children to draw their own animal or bird. Pupils colour in the creature, then cut the sections out. The pieces are then mixed up to create fantastic new animal combinations. If children are drawing their own animals the neck and body have to start and finish at the two grey dots, equally the body and legs have to join at the lower grey dots, as in the pre-drawn illustrations. That way, the creature will join together at the end. The downloads can be printed onto white copy paper.

Activity should take approx 40 mins.
