This is a collection of two videos that demonstrate how to produce an effective answer to a 25-mark thematic that they will face in their A-Level OCR History exam. The guide focuses on trade unions and showcases my planning and a breakdown of the model answer. including what it does well and how to improve it. You may wish to ask students to improve the model answer.

• 6-and-a-half-minute video walkthrough in which I discuss the positives and negatives of a model answer that I created
• 7-minute video where I demonstrate how to plan for a thematic response
• The completed model answer, including an introduction, three thematic paragraphs (social, economic, political), and a conclusion
