Here are 45 different revision sheets for ‘Macbeth’. These activities can act as lesson starters or as separate revision activities in the run up to the exam. I used many of these last year with my two GCSE English literature classes. The students liked the variety. I varied their use between lesson activities and homework.
In total here are five different activities:

  • 10 ‘Thinking and Linking Grids’ - These can be used for longer activities and allow students to link concepts across the text. Useful for more able classes.

  • 11 ‘Are You a Macbeth Know It All?’ sheets - Useful for covering the characters and themes in the play.

  • 5 ‘Ranking Six Key Quotation’ sheets - These cover the whole play, looking at each Act. Basically it is a different way for students to revise key quotations in the play. The order is not too important.

  • 7 ‘Give Me Five’ quick revision sheets - Useful whole text revision.

  • 12 ‘Beat the Clock’ quotation close analysis sheets - these should last between 3 and 5 minutes so are ideal for ‘do now’ activities.
