A basic bingo game for a class of 24 students. The idea is that you read some English equivalent e.g. At what time? When? the train? Leaves? Is it? Direct? etc… Students cross off the Spanish. The extension work is for them to make up as many questions as possible using one card/ two cards etc… Could be split and used as noughts and crosses. Could be easily adapted to a snake and ladder game etc…

Characters can be cut out and students can have a go at guessing who it is. They can also have a go at writing short tweets in a similar vein about the characters. A good way to enhance their vocab in terms of adjectives. The end slide shows that the situation for some women in various parts of the world has not improved at all.

The idea is to tell students they now work for the Ministry of Immigration/ Foreign Affairs/ the Home office. They are given a fake country name and they have to decide what will be/ won’t be allowed immigration wise, what laws or rules will be in place. A list of 14 questions they have to decide upon. Designed for pair or group work then further discussion.
