What is the Central Truth of the Christian Faith? – KS3 Catholic RE Lesson (Year 8)

This engaging and fully resourced KS3 lesson explores the central truth of Christianity – the Resurrection of Jesus – through the teachings of St Paul and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Rooted in the KS3 Catholic Religious Education Directory (RED) and using content from the Source & Summit Year 8 textbook, this lesson helps students understand why belief in the Resurrection is essential for Christians, and how it gives hope for eternal life.

With age-appropriate explanations, accessible scripture, structured PEEL arguments, and strong literacy scaffolding, this lesson supports all learners in grappling with key theological ideas, such as the Paschal Mystery, ‘crowning truth’, and the Last Day of Judgement.

Ideal for promoting critical thinking, vocabulary development, and understanding of core Catholic beliefs – a must-have for your KS3 curriculum.
