Comprehensive MYP Y3 Unit Plan combines the exploration of the context of the Russian Revolution and Orwell’s novella Animal Farm to encourage students to interrogate the use of propaganda and consider the abuses of power in context and in response to their own perspectives of Global Issues.
The contextual events and novel study lead students to develop their global citizenship and to encourage criticality in response to multi-modal propaganda.
ATLs include multiple perspectives and the milestone assessment is based in criteria BCD, to encourage students to respond to their explorations and share their ideas. This is a challenging unit but is adaptable for all prior attinment students.
