AQA GCSE students will benefit from these resources relating to the new Worlds & Lives poetry cluster.
These would be useful either in introducing the poems to students or in revising the poems for the exams. Additionally, if students miss the study of a poem or poems, they could use this to get an overview.
There are a number of different resources, the majority of which are combined into the revision guide. As this contains a lot of information, this has been broken down into smaller documents for easier digestion. Blank knowledge organisers for each poem have been created, either to review a poem once studied or for revision retrieval.
Practice essay questions are, also, provided. Students approaching the exam could do this as a timed practice or it could be set as cover. Moreover, there are two sets of questions (ten in each), in order that one set could be used in class and the others could be set as homework or trials. For each question, there is an example essay, meaning that there are twenty example essays.
Additionally, the formatting and layout has been influenced by ‘The Learning Scientist’ and their principles on how to make resources most accessible and memorable.
Difficult words are translated and there is some planning space provided.
