This is a small, practical assessment task designed in the style of the Legal Services ESP. It runs for 2 hours and 15 minutes and is split into two sections to support ongoing assessment of learners’ understanding of Tort law.
Section 1 involves writing a report that reviews the main elements of Tort law, allowing learners to demonstrate their foundational knowledge.
Section 2 presents a problem-based question, where learners apply their understanding using the IRAC format (Issue, Rule, Application, Conclusion) to structure a clear, analytical response.
This task supports the development of both legal knowledge and applied skills in a realistic, work-related context.
