This cross-curricular art and design lesson helps children explore the importance of signs in everyday life. Children will learn how signs are used to share information and keep us safe, focusing on colours, shapes, and symbols used in real signs like those found on roads or in schools.
They will go on a local sign-spotting walk, take photos or make sketches, then return to class to paint or design their own signs. The lesson includes round and triangular sign template worksheets in both colour and black and white.
