This escape room task lasts approximately an hour and is suitable for year 10 - year 13. It is a really fun and interactive way to help students understand the range of roles within the sector. The group should be divided into groups of between 2-5. It is no problem if they are different sizes!
There are 6 tasks (each linked to a specific career) to complete in order to win:-
a) Producer: Chronologically ordering the producers to do list.
b) Director: Organising the script
c) Actor Task: Matching up lines of script to appropriate emoji.
d) Musical/ Director: Identifying appropriate tempi to conduct pieces (using online metronome)
e) Costume Design Task: Drawing costume designs for well-known characters that match the producer’s expectations.
f) Front of House Task: Logic problem to seat VIP guests when the systems go off just before opening night.
The leader of the session just needs to start the escape room off and then all directions for each round are included on the hand outs. Each time should be able to access the internet.
