This covers the whole of Theme 2, Topic 1 – ‘Free-Time Activities’.
The PowerPoint is extremely lengthy (98 slides) and contains work for at least ten lessons. The PowerPoint is broken down into five sections: 1) Grammar; 2) Listening; 3) Reading 4) Writing; and 5) Speaking. There are several different worksheets to accompany some of the many exercises on the PowerPoint, as well as transcripts for the listening exercises and the answers also appear on the PowerPoint. The vocabulary used is from the vocabulary lists given by AQA.
It is all based on the new GCSE French and includes many exercises that reflect the changes in the GCSE specifications, and many are broken down into Foundation or Higher tiers.
The exercises include: vocabulary match-ups; verb and tenses exercises (based on 5 different tenses); unjumbling words to make the correct sentences; several listening comprehensions with different tasks; dictation exercises; several reading comprehensions with different types of exercises to complete; translations into English and into French; photo stimuli for written tasks; GCSE-style writing tasks; six role-play cards (3 foundation and 3 higher); six photo cards for speaking activities; general questions and finally six read aloud tasks with questions attached to each task.
The PowerPoint can be used as you wish, I would suggest taking one or two tasks from each section at a time.
