Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 lesson resource covering this year’s topic of community. The lesson considers what mental health is, what pupils have done which is beneficial for their own mental health, the aim of mental health awareness week and the benefits of community for maintaining good mental health. The lesson finishes by returning to some other ways pupils can support their own mental health. Previews show examples of some slides included in this lesson. We also offer the resource in a shorter tutor time / assembly format.

This is an easy to follow power point lesson (no prior planning, printing or preparation required . The resource is designed to be delivered as one 60 minute session but all of our resources are fully editable and designed to allow sections to be added, removed or changed should you need to do so. You may wish to print out the community sheets however these could also be drawn in books or on paper.

No previous knowledge in the subject area is needed, the lesson is easily deliverable by someone who is not a subject specialist or an experienced PSHE teacher. Lesson meets current PSHE guidance.
