Students complete an Archaeological investigation to determine what was found at Lake Mungo.

Sources are placed around the room in a gallery walk format. Students complete the timeline and piece together the sources to answer the worksheet questions.
The bones are placed on a sacred land piece at the front of the room, students are encouraged to take the remains to glue into their worksheet - this leads to a discussion on the ethics of taking Indigenous artifacts off the sacred land.
Follow up lesson on the truth of Lake Mungo and the ethics of Archaeology.
