This resource contains a booklet testing pupils’ knowledge on the properties of 2-D shapes which can be used for KS3 or GCSE maths classes . This would work well in assessing pupils’ prior knowledge of the topic, homework or as a revision exercise.

Pupils are provided with a series of 2-D shapes and diagrams and are asked to label them correctly and identify key terms. Topics covered are properties of 2-D and 3-D shapes, angles, polygons, area and perimeter. This resource has a strong link with literacy as it promotes students’ use of mathematical key terms and vocabulary.
