This booklet is an entire scheme of work on Reggae music. It contains all written and practical activities for around 6 lessons, where students learn the different instrumental parts of a Reggae song and then put them together in a group.
Designed, edited and used by a current Head of Music.

The sequence of lessons and booklet design are designed as follows:
Flexible starter pages at beginning of the booklet.
Lesson 1: Introduction to Reggae. Introduction to Three Little Birds with a listening task, then introduction to off-beat chords on keyboard.
Lesson 2 and 3: Melody and Chords. Students learn how to play the Melody and of Three Little Birds and then put the chords and melody together.
Lesson 4: Bassline. Students learn how to play the bassline of Three Little Birds on guitar (or keyboard - separate pages for both), then fit it with the Chords on keyboard.
Lesson 5&6: Group performance assessment. Students get into groups and put the chorus of the song together, adding vocals and percussion to the instrumental parts they have already learnt.
Success Criteria and Assessment Feedback pages at the back of the booklet.
