This is a fun matching and puzzle assembling activity on geometric mean in right triangles. On the first slide there are given 12 problems with diagrams numbered with 1a,2a,3a,4a, 1b,2b,3b,4b, 1c,2c,3c,4c. Students have to find the value of x for each problem using the information given in the diagrams. On the second slide the answers of the problems are given in random order. Students have to type the number of each problem next to its answer in the empty box provided (matching). There is also a piece of a puzzle corresponding to each answer. Students are asked to copy each piece (or cut it if this product is given to students printed), paste it and then drag and drop it into the cell of the rectangle (given on the third slide) numbered with the number of the problem having for an answer the answer to which this piece corresponds.
(Students will need to use the Pyhtagorean Theorem for some problems. Four problems require solving quadratic equation so x to be found.)
Answer keys are included.
