This resource is an eight page PDF document with reading comprehension activities to do based on the text Gallop - 100 Fun Facts About Horses by Kitson Jazynka. This document contains six worksheets for students.

This text is a National Geographic Kids Reader. The book we used was Level 3 however we understand that some levels differ depending on the country where the text is published.

The activities allow the students to reinforce their understanding of horses by completing activities that work with this text. There are comprehension questions and writing activities, a true or false task, a table of contents and word definitions worksheet and an activity sheet where students label a horse, draw what it eats and also draw the equipment that is needed to care for it.

Some of the activities in this resource may be suitable for teachers who are teaching students about horses but do not have this particular book to use.

There is a double-up of one worksheet. It is provided with colour pictures and also in a black a white version for teachers who may not want to print in colour.
