This is a project where students, after or while learning about clothing and colors in French put together a well-dressed turkey (dinde) and describe it. They pick 6 items of clothing to dress their turkey. Each piece is them colored a different color. Then each piece is described on a turkey feather in a complete sentence (1 sentence per feather).
Each sentence must include:

  • the item of clothing
  • the color of the clothing
  • one other descriptor (long/short, big/small, cheap/expensive, etc.)

This it is all put together with the feathers behind the turkey (as much as possible with the writing), and the clothing attached to the turkey. Usually all of this is pasted to a blank piece of paper. On the paper the students must then introduce their turkey using full sentences stating:

  • Their name
  • Their age
  • Where they are from
  • How they are feeling.

This includes:

  • Informational PowerPoint with directions
  • Directions sheet
  • Rubric Sheet
  • Printouts for:
    • Turkey
    • Feathers
    • Clothes (clothes look warped because they are sized to fit the turkey printout aprox.)
