This resource was created to help children with EAL, in particularly Shona, to communicate in school. It is useful and visual to help them express their needs and quickly pick up key english words and phrases that they may need to use in school.
The communication board includes, feelings, parts of the body, wants and needs, basic places that they may need in school and other communication points.
I have used it by printing the document double sided and then laminating, using treasury tags to make it into a booklet for the child to use. Due to the visual aids on it, it can be used with children of any age that are new to country and still learning the language.
