This is an intermediate-upper intermediate (CEFR B1-2) powerpoint lesson on chairing meetings. Students will discuss their own experiences of business meetings and will learn about cultural differences in meetings in Western countries, including meeting hierarchy, disagreements, and voicing opinions. Students will also learn some key phrases for chairing a meeting including introducing a meeting’s objectives, asking for and giving opinions, changing topics and clarifying meaning, and summarising. Finally, students will practice using the imperative mood. There are productive activities students can do and the template is editable, allowing you to recycle the lesson with new examples and exercises.
