I’ve now left teaching but poured many hours into creating resources for A Level Music back in the day, and want to offer them if of use to any teachers. This resource pack includes:
- Background/Context - Resources to help give an introduction to the set work and where its situated history/musical style
- Listening/Analysis - Booklets/activites for students to analyse the set work (mostly a translation of Edexcel’s analysis notes in the form of questions)
- Essay writing - Model answers/resources to help them move from the analysis stage to long-form writing
- Test/revision/Section A style questions - Short form questions to prep for section A questions or general revision
- Wider listening - work booklets and crib sheets with my best attempt to offer wider listening suggestions (I recall I may have included some tenuous links from my overtired, frantic, Sunday night lesson planning!)
- Slides - Slides with audio and score excerpts
Am not charging anything for these as 1) as teachers you work incredibly hard and if this makes your lives easier then I’m happy with that! 2) I haven’t fastidiously ‘quality assured’ them for mistakes and I’m not up to date with the latest exam board guidance, though am keen to rectify any errors you find so do let me know!
All the best!
