This document has been created to help schools and other educational bodies avoid racism towards Palestinians and Israelis when learning about this topic. It includes definitions of anti-Israeli racism and anti-Palestinian racism, examples to be aware of and an explanation of the origins of these forms of racism.

Solutions not Sides is a British educational charity that brings Israeli and Palestinian peacebuilders into the classroom. Since 2010, we have been teaching skills of empathy, active listening, communication, critical thinking and conflict resolution through exploration of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Our programme is based on three key values: non-violence, equality for all, and the rejection of hatred.

As educators, we will uphold the right of young people to learn about political issues in an impartial space. We will keep that space free from hate, inequality and violence. We will teach skills of critical thinking, communication, active listening and conflict resolution so they can learn to navigate these issues for themselves.
