A complete lesson covering sections 4.7.3.2 and 4.7.3.3 of the AQA Physics specification- Uses of the generator effect and Microphones. These lessons are higher tier Physics only.

The lesson starts with a recall quiz based on other sections of the Physics specification.

The lesson starts by looking at the generator effect and the difference between the generation of AC and DC current by alternators and dynamos respectively. This includes looking at PD vs time and current Vs time graphs. There is a worksheet that assesses understanding of this content. This is then followed by an application question.

The lesson then moves to look at microphones covering structure and function. This is assessed by a summary question and an application question.

The lesson closes with an exam question.
