Fun Snakes and Ladders reading challenges for disengaged students.
Builds explicit and implicit reading skills and identifies word classes.
Students land on a square, then read a sentence or short passage aloud. They must answer questions to demonstrate explicit understanding and implicit comprehension . Special squares prompt players to identify word classes. Correct answers move the player forward, up the ladder or they might even get swallowed by the snake, while incorrect responses mean staying still. Challenge cards offering additional moves encourage students to stretch their boundaries. The game promotes fun and active engagement with language and reading skills in a playful, competitive environment, making grammar and comprehension practice both meaningful and fun.
