Lesson 1: The Power of Yet

“I Can’t Do It… Yet!”

In this lesson, children will explore the idea that learning takes time and practice. Through the story ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance’, they will understand that making mistakes is part of learning and that saying “yet” can help them keep trying when things feel hard.

Lesson 2: The Magic of YET

“I’m Not There… Yet!”

In this lesson, children will reflect on what they find tricky and how they can improve through practice and perseverance. They will use sentence stems like “I can…” and “I can’t… yet” to talk about their learning and understand how a growth mindset helps them keep going, even when something feels hard.

Lesson 3: Being an Elastic Learner

“Stretchy Learning!”

This lesson introduces the idea of being ‘elastic’ when learning – flexible, adaptable, and brave. Children will learn how to bounce back from challenges and how trying new ways can help solve tricky problems.

Lesson 4: My Choices and My Feelings

“Feelings and the Choices I Make”

Children will explore how their decisions affect their emotions and those of others. Through role-play and discussion, they will learn that they have the power to make kind, safe, and helpful choices, and how this influences how they feel inside.
