This diary writing & research project is a great way to get your class learning about and having fun with first person narrative in the form of diary writing (recounts) in the outdoors. This differentiated resource has been used very successful with grades 2 – 5 (years 3 - 6). The children are to choose a min-beast and spend a few days finding, exploring, and researching their chosen mini-beast.
