AC1.2 Identify factors that influence food choice
Learners explore a range of influences on food choice, including peer pressure, climate, economic conditions, culture, religion, age, availability and cost, presentation, family circumstances, and marketing/advertising. Tasks include reflection exercises, matching activities, case studies, and simple interviews with family or friends.
AC2.2 Outline a range of activities that encourage children and young people to eat healthily
The workbook supports learners in exploring practical ways to encourage healthy eating, such as games, tasting sessions, cooking activities, and posters or campaigns. Activities are age-appropriate and achievable for Level 1 learners, with opportunities to use mind maps, planning grids, and peer-led tasks to reinforce learning.
