This resource is a 13 x 1 hour lesson teaching and learning pack which covers the content for Unit 6 - Timbers following the Pearson Edexcel specification. Having previously used the paid PG online resources, I decided to create my own and share as evidence reinforced that student cognitive load needed to be better considered.

Included is a student booklet (2 pages per lesson. 1 for revision tasks and 1 for demonstration questions) and 13 x easy to follow teacher accompanying PowerPoint presentations. If you have previously downloaded any of my Engineering resources then this follows this style of delivery. E.g. Connect/Retrieval activity, Activate, Demonstrate and a consolidation quiz. All presentations include embedded mini white board activities to identify and overcome whole class misconceptions and booklet pages for independent learning are clearly signposted.

In my opinion following 15 years of delivering GCCE D+T and based on robust staff voice, these resources would be particularly useful for non-specialists and anyone required to deliver the course or parts of it outside of a school workshop.

For best result, present as PowerPoints as a slideshow to utilise animations.
