In this lesson, explore the exciting and fascinating world of sumo; learn all about the rich history of the sport, its origins tracing back to over a thousand years ago, as well as the culturally significant Shinto rituals and traditions that can still be witnessed in sumo tournaments today. Pupils will also be able to learn more about what the daily life of a sumo wrestler is like, including what their daily training regime is like and even the kinds of food they like to eat!
