Two-page activity worksheet on the Spanish Civil War, from a series on Spanish culture and history topics. Aimed at around A2 on the CEFR scale (ideal for proficient Key Stage 3 groups); tenses uses include the present and preterite. Presents twelve vocabulary items, a short original reading passage and associated activities that focus on key facts and events in the history of the conflict. The goal is to support general reading skills; students are challenged to understand words in context and gist.
Intended as a short class project unit, it also works well as a homework or cover worksheet; a full answer key is included.
