A set of four informal letters telling the story of Persephone and the Seasons, an ancient Greek myth referred to in the novel Skellig by David Almond.
Pupils read the letters to familiarise themselves with the story of Persephone; study the features of the letters using the worksheets; and then plan and write their own letters, using the differentiated planning grids.
Pupils’ letters could be based on this myth, the Icarus myth or events in the Skellig story.
